Aimee Lee is an artist, writer, and the leading hanji researcher and practitioner in the United States. Her Fulbright research on Korean paper led to her award-winning book, Hanji Unfurled, and the first North American hanji studio at Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland, OH, where she serves as artist-in-residence. Concurrent work involves botanical papermaking and paper/textile connections and her artists’ books imprint is Bionic Hearing Press. She teaches, lectures, and exhibits internationally and has been featured on TV in Korea and the US. Her artwork resides in collections worldwide and she provides free hanji resources online for the public.
